Ah January – the month where we are bombarded with the “New Year, New Me” messaging from every side.

Let me be very transparent, I have been that person, completely and utterly.  I had so much dislike for both my body and the person I perceived myself to be, that I would use every single January to try to “fix” myself.

The journey I took to lose that mindset can’t be encompassed in one little newsletter post… it is just too complicated… but what I want to invite you to think about is the following question:  “Who does it serve?”

When you see that message “New Year, New You” – is it serving you?   Is accepting the idea that you aren’t good enough exactly as you are serving you?  Or is it serving to put more of your money into the pockets of giant corporations?

I’m not at all against growth.. But real growth is about stepping more into your truth as a person, not changing who you are as a person.

So next time you see “New Year, New You!” – ask yourself.. “Who is this serving?” and then maybe take a step back into your power and answer it with “New Year, Same Awesome Me!”
