The theme I decided to write on this month is “getting warmer” and when I decided that, I had no idea what would be happening in my life as we head into June.  I just knew that the temperature outside would be getting warmer and as we move into the summer months, we’d be really moving out of hibernation mode and into active mode… so I took a guess that my life would be “getting warmer” too.

Wow, was I right!!  I went from teaching online and working quietly to connect with people to being smack in the middle of organizing a whole bunch of exciting opportunities.  The first one of these is happening later this month – Tea and Yoga… and there are more fun and exciting things coming up.   Be patient with me, and all will be revealed very soon.

So what happens when we speed up?   For many of us, it is exciting, nourishing and fulfilling.  However, it can also be overwhelming, challenging and tiring.  So we have to remember to hold space for all of those things.   Often, we have been trained to ignore or compartmentalize the harder parts of our busy lives.  Statements like “I’m too blessed to be stressed” are a perfect example of this.   The reality is you can be blessed and stressed and allow yourself to have space for both of these experiences.   In fact, it is far healthier to give yourself permission to feel all of it, than it is to push away the more challenging parts.

So yes, I am beyond excited for the opportunities I am working towards right now – both within my yoga offerings and outside of them.  I am also nervous and a little overwhelmed.   It is about allowing all of the experience to be present for me and holding the balance between it all…
